Challenge : Rising energy cost burdens and difficulties in calculating manufacturing costs
Declining profitability due to high energy costs
Amid intensifying competition in the European export market, rising energy costs were increasing manufacturing cost burdens. In addition, limited visibility into equipment-level energy consumption made it difficult to improve inefficient operations effectively. Furthermore, there was an urgent need to establish a systematic approach to meeting the ESG management requirements of the European market.
Implementation :Deployment of a real-time data-driven smart energy management system
Operational Issue Detection Through Real-Time Energy Monitoring and Analysis
Current sensors were installed on key equipment, including printing presses, plate-making machines, and distribution panels, to transmit real-time power consumption data to a cloud platform and enable accurate visibility into energy usage. Process-level energy analysis and integrated equipment utilization analysis helped identify sources of energy waste and provide operational improvement insights. In addition, peak power management capabilities helped prevent unnecessary surcharge costs. The system also generated reports on power costs and carbon emissions per square meter of printed output, supporting compliance with European export requirements.
Results : Support sustainable growth and strengthen competitiveness in the European market
Reduce energy costs and improve production efficiency
Through 3View FEMS, the company expects to reduce energy costs and improve production process efficiency. Real-time, data-driven energy management is expected to strengthen manufacturing cost competitiveness and improve profitability. In addition, systematic management of energy usage data will help secure ESG-related metrics, support effective compliance with European market requirements, and establish a foundation for sustainable growth.
